9:00 – 18:00 One Day Tour to Jiufen (九份) and Shifen (十分)

The historical mining town, Jiufen, is now a touristic spot for its nostalgic old street. The scene has inspired one of Hayao Miyazaki's greatest films, Spirited Away.
Shifen is located on an old railway line and is famous for its old street, where you can try to fly your own Sky Lantern, and the Shifen Waterfalls.

18:00 – 20:30 Welcome reception at Golden Formosa Restaurant (金蓬萊餐廳)

The famous restaurant has served authentic traditional Taiwanese cuisine since 1987 and is recently awarded as One Michelin Starred Restaurant.

Accommodation

We recommend you to stay at Mellow Field Hotel (on google map). We will provide transportation between the hotel and social events/congress venue.

Booking through the secretariat for special price: (paid by cash or credit card when check-in)

9:30        Pick-up at Nangang High Speed Rail and MRT station

Itinerary: Jiufen old street --> Lunch in Jiufen --> New Taipei City Gold Museum (金瓜石博物館,  museum of the local mining industry) --> Shifen Waterfalls --> Shifen old street for Sky Lantern --> heading back to Taipei for Welcome Reception

2. Welcome Reception: (for participants and accompanied person)

3. Farewell Party:

Date/Time: October 28^th, 2018 (12:30 – 14:30)

Famous for the Steamed Soup Dumplings With Shrimp and Loofah (絲瓜海老小籠湯包)

Important Dates:

August 31^st: Deadline for case presentation form and glass slides

September 7^th: Deadline for poster presentation form

September 7^th: Deadline for online registration

Instructions for presentations:

• Case presentation time: 15 minutes for each case
  • Firstly, the discussant gives comments and differential diagnosis about the case. (5 min)
  • Secondary, the submitter gives the diagnosis. (5 min)
  • Finally, general discussion. (5 min)

• Equipments are available only for PC-based presentation. Presentation files should be created using Microsoft PowerPoint preferentially for the Windows platform. Functions of those made by Macintosh will not be secured. Files should be carried by an appropriate storage medium such as USB flash drive to be easily handled at the reception counter.

• Presentation files upload:
  • For case J-1, T-1, J-2, T-2, J-3: Please upload your slide at the reception counter between 08:30 – 08:50.
  • For case T-3, J-4, T-4, J-5, T-5: Please upload your slide between 08:30 – 08:50 or between 10:25 – 10:45.

• Poster presentation will be held during 10:25 – 11:05 on October 28^th. A display board giving a display area of approximately 90 cm (width) x 140 cm (height) will be provided for poster display. Push pins will be provided to all poster presenters at the congress. Staff will be available to assist you.
